Rescue teams discovered two workers alive in a hydroelectric tunnel after hearing their voices through layers of debris. Both individuals have been confirmed alive, although one is unable to move his legs. They were swiftly airlifted to a hospital in Kathmandu for treatment.
Nepalese MP Shree Ram Neupane shared photos from the rescue operation on Facebook. The successful discovery of these survivors has raised hopes that additional individuals may still be alive in the tunnel.
According to reports, at least 557 workers have been reported missing along the Trishuli 3A project near the Trishuli River, with approximately 115 believed to be in the tunnel.
