Rinat Akhmetov Fund Partners with Small Academy of Sciences to Boost STEM Education in Ukraine

The Rinat Akhmetov Fund has joined forces with the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to enhance educational opportunities for Ukrainian children and youth. The partnership was formalized with a document signed by Ksenia Sukhova, the Fund’s General Director, Stanislav Dovhiy, the President of the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,” and acting director Vasyl Dunets.

This collaboration aims to implement STEM approaches that integrate various disciplines, enabling students to apply their knowledge practically through research, experiments, and personal projects that address real-world challenges.

Sukhova emphasized the importance of supporting youth with quality education, stating, “Investing in our community’s future through education is crucial. Through our partnership with the Small Academy of Sciences, we aim to provide children with more than just traditional knowledge; we offer practical tools such as STEM schools, laboratories, and access to an international scientific community. Our goal is for them to experiment, believe in themselves, and create their own projects here at home.”

During their meeting, representatives discussed various educational initiatives for children and youth, exploring how modern STEM approaches can be integrated into teaching methodologies.

The partnership is expected to enhance the STEM component of the “Rinat Akhmetov – Children. Peaceful Leisure for Children of Ukraine” program, which includes educational camps where children and teenagers will engage in practical learning, work on their projects, and familiarize themselves with innovative technologies.

The Small Academy of Sciences runs research and educational programs, scientific schools, and international projects for students. Each year, it organizes nationwide and regional summer scientific and STEM schools for grades 8-11, combining learning with leisure activities.

The overarching goal of this collaboration is to expand educational opportunities for Ukrainian children and youth, fostering their learning, research endeavors, and professional self-realization.
