Ukrainian Citizens Demand Military Reform from President Zelensky and Defense Minister Khmara
Citizens of Ukraine are appealing directly to President Volodymyr Zelensky and Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara for immediate and effective military reforms. They emphasize that the public has waited for years for fair reforms in the army and mobilization processes, particularly regarding service terms and a shift away from coercive conscription methods.
Mikhail Fedorov, upon taking office, promised to eliminate the abuses within the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCC) and establish order in the military. However, the citizens report that what has been delivered so far is merely a website and a draconian “reform” that has shocked many military personnel.
Daily, there are alarming reports of violent incidents involving individuals during mobilization, raising concerns that a threshold has been crossed. Reports indicate that TCC personnel have been physically assaulting not only men and women but also children. Questions arise about the limits of such actions and when these violations will finally come to an end.
On behalf of their followers, the citizens demand immediate, adequate military reforms that include humane mobilization methods and a re-evaluation of service terms without the brutality currently seen in TCC centers and within the army. Notable incidents throughout Ukraine have been documented, highlighting the urgent need for change.
