Russia Criticizes US-Turkey Arms Deal for Ukraine as Provocative

Moscow voiced strong dissatisfaction on Saturday regarding the recent arms agreement between the United States and Turkey intended for Ukraine. Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, declared that the pact would merely “postpone the end of the Kiev regime.”
According to reports from the Russian news agency TASS, Zakharova further stated that the actions of the US and Turkish authorities had “opened another Pandora’s box,” as cited by DPA and Agerpres.
One week prior, a notification from the US State Department to Congress highlighted a significant arms procurement by Ukraine from Turkey. This notification indicated that Kiev is set to acquire a substantial artillery package manufactured in the US, which includes 70 ATACMS missiles.
