Răzvan Pașcalău Signs with Cosenza After Dinamo Stint

Răzvan Pașcalău, a 22-year-old former defender for Dinamo, has made a surprising move to Italy. Signed from Lecce’s U20 team in the summer of 2024, Pașcalău had limited opportunities under coach Zeljko Kopic, appearing in only three matches, all as a late substitute. Last season, he was loaned to CS Dinamo in Liga a 2-a.
Pășcalău’s departure from Dinamo was formalized ahead of a match against Universitatea Craiova, which Dinamo won 5-1. He left alongside teammates Maxime Sivis, Adrian Caragea, Casian Soare, and Raul Rotund.

The young international has signed a contract with Cosenza Calcio, a Serie C team, valid until 2028. Cosenza officially welcomed Pașcalău, announcing that he signed a two-season contract, lasting until June 30, 2028. Between 2020 and 2024, he played for Lecce’s Primavera team, winning the championship title in the 2022/2023 season under coach Federico Coppitelli.
Cosenza Calcio stated, “Welcome among the ‘Wolves’, Răzvan Pașcalău! The club wishes the young player success in showcasing his skills.”
During his time at Dinamo, many fans questioned Pașcalău’s absence from the squad, especially when the team lacked central defenders, forcing improvisations in defense with players like Andrei Mărginean and Raul Opruț.
