Russian forces have targeted Kyiv with ballistic missiles, leading to significant damage and casualties. Reports indicate that three people have died as a result of these attacks, which occurred in multiple districts of the city.
In the Solomianskyi district, a six-story non-residential building caught fire due to a missile strike, with vehicles in the parking lot also igniting. Debris from the missile fell on a five-story residential building, trapping residents inside and triggering a fire in the courtyard.
Meanwhile, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire erupted at a car wash, and part of a residential building where people are trapped suffered structural damage on the first and second floors.
The Darnytskyi district also reported a missile impact in a non-residential area, with warehouses ablaze. In the Holosiivskyi district, missile fragments landed on another non-residential property.
As of 02:46, authorities confirmed three fatalities. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, five individuals, including a 17-year-old, sustained injuries and have been hospitalized. Emergency services are currently operating at the impact sites.
The Ukrainian Air Force issued a warning about the potential use of ballistic weapons at 1:29 AM, followed by reports of the first missiles heading towards Kyiv at 1:32 AM.
A monitoring project, “Mykolaivskyi Vanek,” reported that both ballistic missiles and Zircon missiles were launched towards Kyiv. Additionally, the Telegram channel “Real Kyiv | Ukraine” noted that power outages occurred in some areas of the city following the attacks.
