CFR Cluj has advanced to the third round of the Conference League qualifiers with a dominant 3-0 victory over Armenian side Alashkert.
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, CFR Cluj showcased their strength in the decisive match held in Gruia. The team took an early lead in the third minute with a goal from Karlo Muhar. Facing a setback as they went down to ten men, Alashkert conceded another goal just before halftime, courtesy of Meriton Korenica.
In the second half, the players coached by Antonio Folha added a third goal, with Alin Fică finding the net in the 77th minute, sealing the scoreline and ensuring Cluj’s progression to the next round where they will face Norway’s Tromso.
