Russian Attack on Arms Exhibition Near Kyiv Leads to Arrest of Organizer

A deadly assault attributed to Russian forces struck an arms exhibition near Kyiv, resulting in the arrest of the event’s chief organizer, Vasyl Honcharuk, according to Prosecutor General Andriy Krawchenko. The attack left ten people dead, the youngest victim being just 19 years old, and injured around 100 others.

The exhibition, organized by the “Armada” association, was held without the necessary approvals from military command and local authorities. It featured military personnel, representatives from government bodies, and international partners, with plans for demonstrating air defense systems.

Over 300 attendees were invited to the event, with the closest shelter being only 34 square meters located approximately 100 meters away from the site. Invitations were sent out nine days prior, but the exact location and time were disclosed just a day before the event. Investigators are examining whether these actions allowed enemy forces to prepare for a targeted strike.
