Christian Romero, the 28-year-old center-back for Argentina and Tottenham, appeared to snub Donald Trump during the medal presentation following the World Cup final, where Argentina lost 0-1 to Spain.
After the match, the Argentine players took to the stage to receive their runners-up medals. While all of the South American players greeted the U.S. President Donald Trump, Romero refrained from doing so.

The video shows all Argentine players shaking hands with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and later with Trump while collecting their medals. However, Romero only greeted Infantino and did not extend his hand to Trump.
As he approached Trump, Romero reached for the medal hanging around his neck. Trump had not yet offered his hand, resulting in the greeting not taking place.
Additionally, another incident involving Trump occurred after the trophy presentation, where player Rodri attempted to ask the U.S. President to step aside so that the players could remain center-stage while lifting the trophy. Trump stayed on stage, even after shifting slightly to the side.
