Rescue Team Retrieves Python from Tree in Kyiv

A rescue operation in Kyiv recently led to the retrieval of an emperor boa from a tree, prompting local animal volunteers to issue a reminder about the natural instincts of exotic pets.
Reports circulated on social media, particularly on the Telegram channel “Kyiv Operative,” about a supposed python spotted in a tree. However, the rescue team clarified that it was, in fact, an emperor boa that had climbed the tree during a walk and subsequently escaped from its owners.
According to the rescue team, the snake demonstrated strong climbing skills and was reluctant to come down voluntarily, which necessitated a patient and coordinated effort to bring it back safely.
The operation concluded successfully, with the snake returned to its owners. Volunteers emphasized that this incident serves as an important reminder: even domesticated exotic animals retain their wild instincts, and pet owners should remain vigilant during outdoor activities.
