Potential Successor to Ukraine’s Premier Revealed as Korensky

Ukrainian lawmaker Yaroslav Zheleznyak has indicated that Andriy Korensky is the likely candidate to take over as the country’s Prime Minister, with a 95% certainty. Zheleznyak’s comments come after President Volodymyr Zelensky’s earlier post regarding a report from the head of Naftogaz Ukraine about necessary steps for enhancing Ukraine’s resilience.
Currently serving Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko will remain within the government as the U.S. ambassador, according to Zheleznyak, who dismissed rumors of internal conflicts. He mentioned that the final decision regarding these shifts was seemingly made on July 11, with the process being initiated today.
“This ‘reset’ will involve many changes—a broader package beyond just the Cabinet. Several ministers will be replaced. Overall, if this is the case, it’s probably a good thing. Korensky is certainly a competent candidate,” he noted.
Despite the anticipated changes, Zheleznyak expressed confidence that these personnel decisions would not lead to any political instability, believing the new government would secure sufficient support.
