The English defender was spotted last Friday in New York, standing at a Panini stand where he was selling World Cup stickers and albums.
Tourists recognized him, and the incident quickly went viral on social media, with many fans surprised to see the English international in such a role.
Panini World Cup stickers are also available in Romania, with a pack of seven stickers priced at approximately 6.5 lei. The album contains a total of 980 stickers.
Maguire was taken aback by Tuchel’s choice: “I was confident that I could have played an important role for my country this summer after the season I had. I was shocked and devastated by the decision. Nothing meant more to me than wearing that shirt and representing my country over the years. I wish all the players good luck this summer.”
Harry Maguire made his debut for the England national team on October 7, 2017, in a 1-0 victory against Lithuania. His last appearance was on March 31, 2026, in a friendly match lost to Japan, where he played the last seven minutes. He has recorded 66 caps and scored seven goals for the national team.
