Lucescu Poised for Al-Sadd Move
Sources indicate that Al-Sadd has intensified negotiations with the former PAOK coach and will take concrete steps toward hiring him in the coming hours.
Lucescu is expected to move to Al-Sadd with his staff, likely receiving a salary exceeding what he earned at Al Hilal (€3.5 million per year).
On Saturday evening, Roberto Mancini’s departure from the Qatari club was made official, as he is expected to return as the head coach of the Italian national team. This development further opens the door for Lucescu’s potential move to Qatar.
Al-Sadd is banking on Lucescu’s extensive experience and success within Gulf football; during his time at Al-Hilal from 2019 to 2021, he won the AFC Champions League, one of the highlights of his career.
