Finland Moves to Lift Total Ban on Nuclear Weapons

On Wednesday, the Finnish parliament voted to lift its total ban on nuclear weapons. This decision aims to align Finland’s defense policies with NATO’s deterrence strategy following its accession to the alliance in 2023. A total of 125 lawmakers supported the proposal introduced by the government, while 61 opposed it.
