Audi is continuing development of the Nuvolari, a luxury supercar that the company said is the fastest and most powerful in the brand's history. Several prototypes of this vehicle are currently being tested on the most famous circuits in the world, for the final settings before the start of series production.
The Audi Nuvolari, the latest luxury sports model of the brand, surprised the motoring world with its appearance and the announced features, but also with the fact that it is not an electric vehicle, but a classic full-hybrid.
Even if the Nuvolari will occupy the same place in the Audi family as the R8, there are a lot of details that make this supercar a vehicle that surpasses the R8 in all respects.
After presenting the first photos and technical information, Audi unveiled the Nuvolari for the first time in Monte Carlo, at the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco circuit. Meanwhile, the first video from the tests carried out at the Nardo circuit in Italy has also been revealed.
Behind its performance is the Audi Nuvolari's 800 hp biturbo V8 thermal engine, which is supported by no less than three axial-flow electric motors, each of which has an output of 110 kW. The motors are powered by a rather small lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 7.3 kWh, but sufficient to recover energy from braking and deliver it for increased power.
