The day before, an unknown person called the pensioner and said that they were trying to steal her money lying in the bank, and for safety it needed to be withdrawn from the account and handed over to a courier who would take it to law enforcement officers.

The misled grandmother came to the bank, but when withdrawing funds, the vigilant employee, during a conversation with the client, realized that they were trying to deceive her and called the police.

“Having arrived at the home of a potential victim and received dummy money from her, the courier of telephone scammers was detained by the police. It was established that an 18-year-old resident of the Tomsk region found an advertisement for a part-time job in one of the instant messengers: for a fee, he was offered to go to Uzhur and pick up a parcel,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
