In Krasnoyarsk, in honor of the City Day celebration, the first City Mayor's Design Cup was held. More than 300 young Krasnoyarsk residents competed in assembling wooden construction sets on the Central Embankment.
The age of the participants is from 6 to 18 years. There were interactive locations and master classes on the site, and mentors helped the participants.
The winners were awarded on stage by the head of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Vereshchagin.
“I assessed the site and talked to the guys. There were interactive locations and master classes on site, and mentors helped young designers master the art. Such events help to captivate the younger generation with technical creativity and seek out talent. We will support this direction,” said Sergei Vereshchagin.
The mayor's cup became part of the Design Bureau project. It started in 2022 and during this time has grown from small competitions and master classes to a design championship and a system for the development of engineering creativity.
