Putin claims that the Russian army is “advancing in all directions” and announces what plans it has until 2030

At a meeting organized on June 13 and dedicated to the future of the occupied regions of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin claimed that the Russian army continues to advance on the entire front and that the attacks launched by Kiev on Russian territory do not affect Moscow's position.

“The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are advancing in all directions; the enemy is not able to stop this offensive and is resorting to openly terrorist methods: it is hitting civilian targets, communications infrastructure and passenger transport,” said the Russian president.

The statement was made during a meeting on the economic development of Donbass and “Novorossiya”, which includes the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia, and was picked up by the Russian news agency TASS, notes lapresse.us.

An important part of the speech was devoted to Moscow's plans for the occupied regions, with Vladimir Putin declaring that Donbass and “Novorossia” must reach the average level of economic development of the Russian Federation by 2030, a goal he presented as an essential stage of the integration of these territories.

We remind you that the term “Novorossia”, used by the Russian authorities to designate part of the occupied territories in the south and east of Ukraine, is rejected by Kiev and is not recognized by the majority of Western states, which consider the respective regions to be Ukrainian territory under Russian occupation.

Although the meeting was not of a military nature, Vladimir Putin used the event to deliver one of the strongest messages in recent weeks regarding the situation on the front, claiming that Moscow still holds the “strategic advantage” and that its troops are advancing on all sectors of the front.

The statements come as Ukraine has significantly expanded its ability to strike targets hundreds of kilometers from the border, using drones and missiles against military, logistical and energy infrastructure inside the Russian Federation.
