PNL Neamț is the first county organization of the party to announce, officially, that it supports Ilie Bolojan and that the decision to appoint another PNL member as prime minister had to be discussed in the party before it was announced.

After hours of speculation and individual reactions of politicians or analysts, the PNL Neamț organization is the first branch to adopt an official position after Nicusor Dan designated Adrian Veştea as prime minister, adopted following a meeting.
Therefore, it is not about the opinion of a local leader, but about a decision taken after consulting the county organization.
According to the president of the branch, Laurențiu Dan Leoreanu, PNL Neamț members unanimously decided to support both the decisions recently adopted by the National Political Bureau and the activity of the party president, Ilie Bolojan.
“The nomination of our colleague Adrian Veștea for the position of prime minister is a major step. I know him, respect him and appreciate his political and administrative activity, and the collegiality and friendship relations we have had over time are very good. However, beyond his person, the way in which he proceeded raises serious problems. The fact that this decision was announced without a real, extensive and prior consultation of the management structures took us by surprise. I consulted the PNL Neamţ organization today, and my colleagues unanimously expressed their support for the decisions taken recently by the National Political Bureau, but also for supporting the PNL president, Ilie Bolojan, in his activity”. it is stated in the press release signed by the president of PNL Neamţ, Laurenţiu Dan Leoreanu, quoted by Agerpres.
“Major decisions are not taken individually and are not imposed from top to bottom without internal dialogue. Such a unilateral approach does nothing but weaken us and throw the PNL into an area of major vulnerability, something I cannot agree with. Our strength lies in the team and in respect for our own rules. Only united and fair with each other can we provide stability to Romania. Respect for colleagues, for statutory decisions and for the voice of the organizations in the territory must remains the foundation on which we build the future of the National Liberal Party and of Romania”, according to the same source.
The message sent from Neamț comes at a delicate moment for Ilie Bolojan, after several PNL leaders made public their support for Adrian Veștea, considering that he represents the “best solution” for Romania in the current political context.
