Cosmin Olăroiu, officially introduced to the new team

Romanian coach Cosmin Olăroiu (57 years old) was officially introduced to Al Jazira, a top team from the United Arab Emirates, located in Dubai.
Cosmin Olăroiu signed a two-year contract with the Golf team. Last time, Cosmin Olăroiu was the United Arab Emirates coach. He was officially fired on May 30. At Al Jazira, he replaces Marino Pusic, a coach who was appointed in September 2025.
The local press wrote that it will collect approximately 5.2 million euros annually.

“We are pleased to announce the official signing of the contract of the Romanian coach Cosmin Olăroiu, as manager of the first team, an agreement that is valid until 2028”, Al Jazira said on social networks.
Al Jazira finished 4th in the UAE Premier League season. The previous season he did not perform in interclub competitions in Asia. The team has been a three-time champion in UAE history, won the Domestic Cup 3 times and also has two Emirates League Cups and a Super Cup. Cosmin Olăroiu was handed a lot of almost 44 million euros at this moment.
Cosmin Olăroiu started his coaching career in Romania, but he also made his name in the Middle East. Cosmin Olăroiu trained only FC Național, FCSB and Poli Timișoara in the Super League.
He coached Al Hilal, Al Sadd, Al Ahli, Shabab Al Ahli and Sharjah in the Gulf. He was the United Arab Emirates coach from April 2025 to May 2026 and was sacked after missing out on qualifying for the World Cup. He was also the Saudi Arabia coach for 4 matches in 2014-2015.
