The State Bureau of Investigation reported new suspicions in the case of the procurement of personal protective equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The press service of the State Bureau of Investigation reported this on June 12.
According to Ukrainskaya Pravda's sources in law enforcement agencies, businessmen Igor and Roman Grinkevich, as well as former deputy head of the Main Directorate of Material Resources of the Ministry of Defense Yuriy Lisovsky, received suspicions.
According to the investigation, the ex-official of the Ministry of Defense used his influence to assist Lviv entrepreneurs in concluding contracts with the Ministry of Defense and received undue benefits for this.
In particular, in March – April 2022, businessmen transferred 150 thousand UAH to the accounts of persons associated with the official. In addition, at the end of the same year, one of the entrepreneurs paid for his vacation in an elite sanatorium in Truskavets worth almost 290 thousand UAH, the SBI indicated.
The bureau also added that the revealed facts are part of a large-scale investigation into the misappropriation of funds from the Ministry of Defense during the procurement of property for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
