Our railway needs its own Rammstein
The railway operates under constant shelling, loses locomotives, wagons and infrastructure. Only in the last month – 171 attacks.
An increase in tariffs for freight transportation will not save the company: business is massively shifting to motor vehicles, and the volume of transportation has fallen by almost half from the pre-war level.
Now Ukraine needs a real “railway Ramstein” – international support for the rapid supply of locomotives, wagons, spare parts and equipment, says the Federal Technical University.
Today, the railway is not just transport. This is the basis of the economy, exports and provision of the army.
