“Don't take Trump literally” – Iran's reaction to the “deal” announced by Trump. Netanyahu was also 'surprised'

Donald Trump's announcement to halt attacks against Iran because of a “deal” is turning into a diplomatic thriller, with both Tehran and Tel Aviv saying they know nothing of the matter.
However, the American president insists, saying that “subject to the completion of the documents, which should be completed in the next few days, we will probably have a signature, perhaps in Europe.” He then suggested that the agreement could be signed over the weekend, in the presence of American Vice President JD Vance, the Greek press writes.
On Thursday, Trump told Truth Social that he was canceling the strikes on Iran he had announced hours earlier because the “final terms” of a deal had been approved.
What did Trump say?
“Based on the fact that talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran have reached the highest level of Iranian leadership and have been approved, as President of the United States of America, I have canceled the planned attacks and bombings against Iran for tonight,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“He repeatedly makes contradictory and inaccurate claims,” says Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), noting that Iranian officials have not confirmed any deal.
In their statement, they state that “Despite the fact that Iranian officials have yet to respond, it is clear that since the beginning of the war, Trump has repeatedly made contradictory and inaccurate statements.”
Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency, affiliated with the IRGC, also reacted, noting that Trump's statements should not be taken literally unless Iran makes official announcements.
“Until Iran formally announces any potential deal, Trump's statements should be treated with the same caution as his previous statements,” Tasnim reported.
Netanyahu 'surprised'
At the same time, Trump's post reportedly surprised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who at the time was in the middle of a security meeting regarding Iran, according to an Israeli source.
Israel was not aware of any impending deal with Iran or any kind of approval, the source told CNN, effectively denying Trump's claims on Truth Social.
After two consecutive nights of US attacks on Iran and Trump's threats to escalate the situation, Netanyahu called an emergency meeting with senior officials and members of his cabinet on Thursday night. Trump tweeted about the potential deal while the meeting was underway.
