CFR Cluj received another blow from UEFA, after the problems it also has with FIFA, where 14 disputes are registered from players who have not received their salary rights for more than 90 days.

Now, following an analysis of the continental forum for the 2025/2026 season, through the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), 7 clubs with arrears to third parties have been identified.

CFR Cluj, “invoice” of 200,000 euros and a two-year trial period

Among them is CFR Cluj, the team ranked third at the end of the previous championship and which will play in the Conference League.

Only, having the same kind of financial problems in other years, this time the group from Gruia received a large fine of 200,000 euros, as did the Kosovars from FC Ballkani. Otherwise, the other clubs in question received fines of up to 100,000 euros.

In addition to the fine, CFR Cluj entered the “radar!” UEFA for the next two seasons, during which the group from Gruia, if it will be detected with debts, will be excluded from the European cups.

In the same document it is stated that FK Budućnost Podgorica (Montenegro) and FC Ordabasy Shymkent (Kazakhstan) are on probation for only one season.

In this chapter, the Georgians from Dinamo Batumi are the worst, as they are already going to be excluded from continental competitions from the 2026/2027 edition, for three seasons.

CFR Cluj also has a ban on transfers

However, CFR Cluj has another kind of problem after the wave of memos from players demanding the payment of older debts. As a result, he also entered the “black list” from FIFA, having for the time being banned from being able to bring any more players, including in this summer mercato.

The resolution of the world forum does not specify a clear number of transfer “windows” in which the Transylvanian team cannot purchase players, but it is stated that the ban is in force until the respective debts are completely canceled.
