Parents can limit the time their children spend on phones, tablets and computers, and also become familiar with their correspondence. Lawyer, Moscow State Law Academy teacher Vitaly Sbitnev told RIA Novosti about this.

According to the specialist, the Russian Constitution enshrines the right to privacy of correspondence, telephone conversations and other communications. However, parents of minor children are responsible for their upbringing and development. At the same time, the lawyer noted that the issue of children's correspondence is not only legal, but also ethical.

According to him, it is important for parents to build trusting relationships with their children so that they do not have to secretly read messages or force the child to show correspondence against his wishes. Sbitnev also recalled that parents are responsible for raising their children. If they do not fulfill this responsibility, their parental rights may be limited or deprived.

Additionally, if a child causes harm to others, parents may also be held accountable for their children's actions.
