T2, the Russian mobile operator, accelerated 4G Internet in cities and villages of 17 districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. More than 450 thousand people live in total.
The operator engineers mounted additional equipment and conducted a refarding in the range of 2100 MHz, increasing the width of the frequency strip for 4G.
The operator engineers mounted additional equipment at more than two hundred basic stations. This made it possible to carry out refarding-to use to provide customers with a quick 4G Internet at frequencies in the range of 2100 MHz, which were previously used only for 3G. The expansion of the strip made it possible to increase the speed of data transfer by more than a third even during the maximum load on the network.
The top three of the speed growth was Sharypovo (+70 %compared to the period before refarding), Achinsk (+69 %) and Kansk (+67 %). Such an increase in speed will significantly improve the client experience of using mobile Internet T2. Modernization primarily influenced the processing of heavy traffic. Customers T2 can now watch videos in even higher quality, download and send gigabyte files faster. It also became more comfortable to work and study online, conduct video conferences, use public services, make purchases on marketplaces. The maximum Internet speeds exceeded 100 Mbps.
Work on the modernization of the network and refarding were carried out in the district centers of Aban, Achinsk, Balakht, Dzerzhinskoye, Yeniseisk, Ermakovskoye, Kansk, Karatuzskoye, Kodinsk, Kozulka, Krasnoturansk, Lesosibirsk, Minusinsk, Lower Palace, Novoselovo, Taseevo, Sharypovo. Despite the situation and restrictions on the use of data transfer services, T2 continues to invest in the development of the network and improve the client experience of using mobile Internet. By the end of the year, the company's engineers will carry out work to update equipment and expand the 4G strip at the basic stations in the regional center and in five more areas.
