In Krasnoyarsk, the court recovered 126 million rubles for damage to an archaeological heritage site on Tatyshev Island. The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk region reported this.

We are talking about the territory where construction of a beach and entertainment complex began in 2021. Later it turned out that the site is located within the boundaries of the identified archaeological heritage site “Krasnoyarsk. Settlement Island Tatyshev-2″.

Before starting work on such a territory, it was necessary to conduct archaeological research and take measures to preserve the cultural layer. However, construction continued. As a result, an archaeological heritage site with an area of ​​more than 10 thousand square meters was damaged. m. Together with the cultural layer, scientific information was lost that could be important for studying the history of the ancient inhabitants of the banks of the Yenisei.

Previously, the court found the deputy director of the contracting organization guilty of damaging a particularly valuable cultural heritage site. She was fined 500 thousand rubles. The verdict came into force. Also in the case are three members of Malinovsky’s gang, whose forces, according to the prosecutor’s office, organized the work. The criminal case against the two has been suspended due to an international search. The investigation into the third is ongoing.

The damage caused to the state was estimated at more than 126 million rubles. The service for state protection of cultural heritage sites of the region went to court with a demand to recover this amount from the organization, its officials and affiliates. The regional prosecutor's office supported the stated demands.

The court found that the defendants knew about the location of the archaeological site within the boundaries of the construction site, but did not take the necessary measures to preserve it. The court agreed with the arguments of the plaintiff and the prosecutor's office and recovered the amount of damage in favor of the budget of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

It should be noted that the beach and entertainment complex with swimming pools did not start working.
