

India’s aviation regulator ordered Air India to conduct additional checks of the maintenance of its Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft equipped with Genx engines. Check the take -off parameters, the operation of the engines and the fuel supply system.
In the Indian fleet there are 34 such aircraft, Ida told reporters. According to him, eight have already been checked, the rest will undergo “urgently” check. He did not specify whether representatives of the government would participate in the checks.
According to Flightradar24, Air India operates 33 Boeing 787 aircraft, while the competing INDIGO airline has one plane.
The flights of these aircraft were not suspended, but the source told Reuters that the Indian government was considering this option.
