Iran does not confirm Trump's words. Unofficially: Tehran has not approved the agreement

“According to information provided to FNA by a well-informed source, Iran has not approved any draft agreement or preliminary agreement with the US, which contradicts President Donald Trump's claim that Tehran has agreed to the final version of the text,” says the Fars news agency.

Earlier on Thursday, the US president announced the cancellation of attacks and bombings on targets in Iran planned for this evening. The reason was supposedly the progress in peace negotiations. “The content of the talks and the final arrangements have been approved – both in general outline and in great detail – by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and other countries,” wrote the American leader.

Trump emphasized that the naval blockade “will remain in full force” until the agreement is finalized. “The time and place of the signing will be announced soon,” he concluded.

Trump threatens Iran to take over key island

On the same day, the US president threatened that in the near future the Americans would occupy Khark Island and other points of oil infrastructure and take complete control over Iran's oil and gas markets.

The island of Khark he mentioned, which is located in the northern part of the Persian Gulf, is the economic heart of Iran. Supports 90 percent Iranian oil exports. More than 1.5 million barrels of crude oil flow through it every day, and the island also has reserves of as much as 18 million barrels of oil.
