In Krasnoyarsk, a court deprived a woman of the right to receive payments after the death of her son, who participated in a special military operation, reported the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The wife of a serviceman went to court to demand that the woman be deprived of her rights to receive payments for her deceased son. She stated that the woman did not participate in his upbringing, did not support him and was not interested in his life.

During the consideration of the case, the court found that the woman actually ceased to fulfill parental responsibilities when her son was 10 years old. She left home, abused alcohol, and in fact his grandmother raised the child. According to the court, family ties between mother and son were lost.

By the decision of the Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk, the woman was deprived of the right to receive one-time benefits and insurance amounts that are due to family members of a serviceman in connection with his death.
