Florin Vlădilă, the president of CS Tunari, confirmed that the former second coach from FCSB, Mihai Pintilii (41 years old), is on his list, in case the team manages to perform in League 2 next season.

In terms of sports, the team from the outskirts of Bucharest was relegated from League 2 to League 3 at the end of the 2025-2026 season. However, the situation could change, and the Ilfovens are now waiting for the licensing process, after which Tunari could return to the second echelon, if another team has problems and does not receive this right.

If they were to return to League 2, those from Tunari would be interested in Mihai Pintilii, whom they would like to join the team, but they are aware that, most likely, he would not accept to come to work in League 3.

Mihai Pintilii, on the list of CS Tunari

“At the moment, we only thought about Mihai Pintilii. It is not something concrete. We had a larger list of coaches, and he is there. He is in our sights. We are waiting for the licensing process for League 2, and then we will also choose the coach. We have several tracks, but everything depends on the echelon where we will play.

More than likely League 3, so, you realize, I don't think Mihai Pintilii is coming, I think. Conversely, if we stayed in League 2, yes, 100%, things would change. We are not only talking about Mihai Pintilii, but also about other coaches.

As we are near Bucharest, with a stadium and the conditions we have, it would be tempting for a coach like Pintilii. But that's only in League 2, probably”, said Florin Vlădilă, the president of CS Tunari, quoted by digisport.ro.

  • Pintilii left FCSB along with Elias Charalambous at the end of the regular season after missing the play-offs;

  • Pintilii ended his playing career at FCSB, the team where he played for the last 4 years before retiring, between 2016 and 2020. From 2020 he “put his boots on the nail”, but remained in the red-blue staff until a few months ago.

I can't on my own, because I don't have the PRO license. I promised Elias that if he finds a team, I will analyze and go with him. For a while, until I get my PRO license, if Elias finds something, I'll go with him. If he can't find it, I'll look for it myself.

I can train in League 2, I go with the greatest pleasure. But only if I don't find something with Elias. That I promised him.
