Shocking discovery in Constanța, following searches. Animal corpses, found in the field and in a makeshift pit

The police in Constanța made a shocking discovery during an investigation into the illegal slaughter of animals. Following searches carried out in several locations in the county, the law enforcement officers found corpses of sheep and cattle abandoned in the field and in an improvised pit, as well as unauthorized cutting sites.

The representatives of the Constanța County Police Inspectorate announced that, as part of Operation Jupiter, ten home search warrants were executed, Ziua de Constanța notes.
According to the investigators, several people are suspected of having slaughtered animals without authorization, and the remains resulting from the activities were abandoned in different areas of the county.
“From the investigations carried out by the police, it emerged that several people had slaughtered animals (sheep and cattle) in an unauthorized manner, and the carcasses had been abandoned in the field”IPJ Constanța representatives sent.
Following the searches, the police picked up several documents regarding the traceability and movement of the animals whose remains were discovered abandoned.
Also, in one of the targeted farms, animal corpses were found dumped in an unauthorized pit set up inside the farm. The investigators also discovered improvised trenching spaces and approximately 50 rattlesnakes whose final destination does not appear in Constanța county.
The authorities have ordered measures to sanitize the area, and the carcasses will be removed and neutralized according to legal procedures.
Research continues to establish all the circumstances in which the acts were committed, in a criminal case regarding the abandonment, dumping and/or concealment of waste.
