In Yeniseisk, the prosecutor's office helped a local resident get rid of a loan that she took out after talking with telephone scammers. The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk region reported this.
The scammers convinced the woman to carry out financial transactions and apply for a loan from the bank. She transferred the 190 thousand rubles she received to the criminals, thinking that she was protecting her money. After this, the scammers disappeared, and the loan remained with the victim. For a pensioner, such an amount became a serious financial burden.
An investigation by the prosecutor's office showed that the woman did not apply for the loan out of her free will. The examination found that at the time of the transaction she was under strong psychological pressure and could not fully understand the meaning of her actions.
The prosecutor went to court and demanded that the loan agreement be declared invalid and that the money already paid be returned to the woman. The court supported the demands of the prosecutor's office. The loan agreement was declared invalid. In addition, more than 33 thousand rubles of interest already paid were recovered in favor of the pensioner.
The identity of the scammers is now being established. The criminal investigation remains under the control of the prosecutor's office.
