On June 9, the International Day of Safety at Railroad Crossings, KrasRussian Railways organized a preventive campaign “Stop and Cool Down!” for drivers of vehicles at a crossing in the village of Zykovo in the suburbs of Krasnoyarsk.
This crossing is one of the most intense in terms of traffic on the Krasnoyarsk section of the Trans-Siberian Railway. About 180 trains pass through it every day and up to 10 thousand cars.
To attract the attention of motorists to the problem of traffic violations at crossings, railway workers have prepared a special souvenir for them, useful in the hot summer – a bottle of water with a reminder label.
It will remind the driver of the need to strictly follow traffic rules and always be attentive and careful when crossing railway crossings. This will save not only his own life, but also the life his passengers, drivers and train passengers.
Bottles of water, as well special notebooks with rules were given to drivers by KrasRussian Railways volunteers Vo when cars stop at a prohibitory traffic light. In addition, together with traffic police inspectors, they held short conversations with motorists and drew their attention to the fact that Almost all accidents at the intersection of roads and railways occur when trying to “slip” in front of a train.
In 2025, 7 accidents occurred at Krasnaya Railway crossings for this reason.
Krasnoyarsk Railway reminds that the problem of such violations can be completely resolved only by the responsible behavior of the drivers themselves and their compliance with traffic rules.
