In Russia, it has been proposed to make it mandatory to shorten the working day if the temperature in the workplace exceeds the norm. TASS reports this.
The appeal to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova was sent by the deputy chairman of the State Duma control committee Georgy Kamnev.
Now this norm is of a recommendatory nature. The deputy proposes to return mandatory requirements to reduce working hours if the air temperature in the workplace exceeds the limit.
“We all must fulfill our duties at the workplace, but definitely not at the cost of strength and health,” said Georgy Kamnev.
He noted that not all employees can defend their rights, as they hold on to their workplace. At the same time, employers are not always ready to take into account the comfort of employees.
The deputy believes that Russia should remain a social state, where the health of employees is protected by mandatory standards.
