Istvan Kovacs (41 years old) is on the list of referees who will go to the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Now it was found out with what amount each “central” will be renumbered.
Those from The Times have published the amounts that will be collected by those who will lead the World Cup matches from the center. Each “central” will collect an amount of $100,000 just for participating in the final tournament.
How much money will the “powerhouses” collect from the World Cup
In addition to the sums collected for simple participation, each center referee will receive another 3,000 dollars for each duel conducted in the group stage.
The “centrals” who will arbitrate in the elimination or final stages will collect another 10,000 dollars.
Istvan Kovacs was also on the list of selected referees for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but did not officiate a match then. Assistants Mihai Marica and Ferencz Tunyogi will also go to the final tournament accompanied by Kovacs.

The 2026 World Championship will be held in 3 countries: USA, Mexico and Canada. It will take place between June 11 and July 19.
It will be the first tournament in history with 48 teams. The tournament will feature a total of 104 matches over 38 days, making it the longest World Cup in history.
