FIFA has prepared an unusual idea for fans during the 2026 World Cup, the most important competition on the planet that begins on Thursday, June 11, from 22:00 in Mexico, with the duel between the host country and South Africa.
For a fee of 79 US dollars, about 68.5 eurosfans will be able to display their name or a short message on stadium screens before the final tournament matches, according to sport.aktuality.sk.
It is an absolute novelty, for the first time that the international forum implements, for a fee, such a process in stadiums.
Those who want to see their name displayed on the stadium at the World Cup must pay almost 70 euros
The service, called “Super Shoutout”, is available through a dedicated FIFA website. Fans can order the display of the message for a specific match, but the organizers reserve the right to edit, shorten or refuse the content.
FIFA has also set strict rules. Posts must not contain offensive, discriminatory or political content, advertising, marketing messages, contact details or mentions of players, teams, referees or match results. Emoticons are also prohibited, and the maximum message length is 30 charactersinformed the DPA agency.
According to the rules, a short marriage proposal could fall within the limit. However, it is not certain how many viewers will notice such messages.
FIFA said the messages will be shown exclusively before the kick-off whistle of matches. The exact time, display duration and location on the screen are not guaranteed in advance, and during the actual matches the messages will not be displayed.
