122 thousand Moscow ninth-graders take the OGE in Russian

9 June 18:07

In Moscow schools, more than 122 thousand ninth-graders take the mandatory OGE in the Russian language.

For this purpose, 600 delivery points were immediately opened in the city. A 9th grade certificate is at stake: without it, the road to both the 10th grade and a decent college is closed, so the stakes are as high as possible.

Schoolchildren will have a “marathon” of almost 4 hours. During this time, they need to have time to listen to the audio recording and write a statement, pass a test on knowledge of the rules and submit a full-fledged essay-argument on a philosophical topic. The guys on their desks only have a black gel pen and a spelling dictionary, which is given on the spot. No phones, smart watches or cheat sheets: this is strictly monitored by cameras and observers.

Schoolchildren and their parents will be able to find out whether they succeeded in passing the exam for the coveted “A” on June 17th.
