The film “We Don’t Abandon Our Own: Instructions for a Peaceful Life” was released in Krasnoyarsk. It tells the real stories of special military operation veterans Dmitry Rabotnikov and Maxim Lukin. They shared how they adapted after returning from the front, including with the help of the regional branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation.

The main advice from the heroes is not to be discouraged, not to refuse help and to work more. According to them, labor and social activities save them.

One of the heroes, the social coordinator of the foundation Dmitry Rabotnikov, said: “In my opinion, the path to recovery can begin with a psychologist and with employment. Labor activity is one of the most important aspects of human social adaptation, especially after prolonged combat.” He added that work helps to return to the team and society, and, if necessary, to get a new profession. Even for children with severe injuries, he said, many opportunities are available today: sports orientation, retraining, social activities.
