Daniel Dines says the AI app solved a client project in three hours instead of four weeks

Coding agents developed by UiPath have achieved this feat for an automation project requested by one of the largest manufacturers of consumer electronics in the world, said the director and founder of UiPath, Daniel Dines, quoted by Ziarul Financiar.

The statement was made during the results conference for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, but Dines did not name which company was the client.

He explained that without the use of AI agents the project completion time was four weeks instead of three hours.

“Weeks to hours. That means a lot when you're going to implement automation for a wide range of processes,” he explained.

According to AI, it was present in 16 of the top 20 contracts in the first quarter, and expansion contracts that included AI components were six times larger than those without.

Another example given during the conference was of a major chip manufacturer reducing a two-month project to a few days, also with the same tools.

Dines explained that the coding agents released by UiPath cover the entire development cycle, from documenting processes and writing code to testing and automatic bug fixing in production. “The entire creation surface of our platform becomes agentic. People will mainly do validation,” he said.

How Dines saw the future of AI

In fact, Dines, who is the co-founder of the first Romanian unicorn listed on the New York Stock Exchange, warned last year that everyone will have to adapt to working with AI agents, otherwise “they will be left behind”

“Change is inevitable. The speed of change is what will show us how quickly we have to adapt. But I think every employee will have to adapt to working with AI agents. Maybe not necessarily create AI agents, but understand how to interact with agents and robots, how to sit in the conductor's place, how to become a master. Otherwise, I think we will be left behind,” he said, according to profit.ro.

“We are facing a transformation, and the way we will all work will change dramatically in the next 2-3 years”, says the CEO of UiPath.

UiPath is a start-up founded in Romania in 2015 by a team led by Daniel Dines. It is currently headquartered in New York where it is also listed on the stock exchange. One of the main activities is the development of artificial intelligence and automation programs and agent coordination to automate complex processes and workflows.
