Carlos Cuesta (30 years old), the coach of Parma, will lead the team next season as well. This emerges from a post by the club on social networks, which the Italian press interpreted as a clear sign of a longer stay on the “Crusaders” bench.
The technician will remain the youngest coach in Serie A. When he was appointed A1 after the departure of Cristi Chivu he became the youngest technician since 1939 in Serie A.

Moreover, according to Nicolo Schira and Fabrizio Romano, the 30-year-old Spaniard could soon sign a new contract. The current deal expires next summer, but will most likely be extended until 2028.
The experience at Parma was the first as a principal for Carlos Cuesta. He holds a Pro license and started his career at Atletico Madrid's Academy and was second in the U17 group between 2014 and 2018. In 2020 he joined Mikel Arteta's staff at Arsenal.
In his first season as head coach at Parma Cuesta collected 13 wins, 12 draws and 16 losses and an average of 1.24 points per game. The Spanish coach proposed a formation for Italian football: a 3-5-2 similar to the one used by Chivu at Inter, but also used systems with 4 defenders or small variations of the 3-5-2. He got some good results with Italy's big teams too: He confused Napoli (0-0 and 1-1) and AC Milan (2-2 and a 1-0 win)
Parma finished in the middle of the standings, in 13th place, with 45 points accumulated in 28 stages. The team that Chivu saved at the limit had no more problems with relegation and had a relaxed end of the season, but was far from the European cups.
