PSG has the most players

FIFPRO has announced the shortlist for the Men's World 11 (Team of the Year 2025), the award voted for the best footballers in the world. A total of 26 players have been nominated for the current competitive year and the final results will be revealed on November 3, 2025.

Even though PSG had an outstanding 2024-2025 season, winning the treble and dominating European football, only seven of the team's players were included: Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes in defence, Joao Neves and Vitinha in midfield, and Ousmane Dembele in attack.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, who left for Manchester City this summer, is also on the list for his developments at PSG.

The shortlist also includes other stars such as Lionel Messi (Inter Miami), Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Lamine Yamal (Barcelona).

Eligibility criteria

In order to be nominated, players must have played at least 30 matches in the last competitive season, both at club and national team level.

  • Team of the year 2024 had: Ederson, Van Dijk, Rudiger, Carvajal, Bellingham, Kroos, Rodri, De Bruyne, Vinicius Jr, Haaland and Mbappe.
