Ioan Varga, the owner of CFR Cluj, announced that starting next week his team will have a new coach.

CFR Cluj is without a coach for the moment, after the scandalous parting with Daniel Pancu, who signed with Rapid after qualifying the Transylvanian team in the Conference League preliminaries.

Ioan Varga announced the appointment of a new coach: “He is Romanian, one of the best”

The boss of Cluj did not want to pronounce the name of the coach, even if he said that he is understood, and he will take over the team from Monday, June 7.

He said, however, that it is about one of the best Romanian coaches. Edward Iordănescu, Marius Șumudică, Marius Măldărășanu, Leo Grozavu, Adrian Mutu, Eugen Neagoe, Mircea Rednic and Ladislau Boloni are among the Romanian coaches who do not have a contract at the moment.

From Monday, CFR will have a new coach. We were going to announce it today, but we put it off a bit, because we didn't have clear clarity and then I don't want to put pigeons in the mouth, except when I scold them. On Monday, we will have the coach at work, that's for sure!

If it was a middle class coach, it was long overdue. It's embarrassing to start talking now. The coach asked me not to talk, so I'm not talking. The coach is Romanian, one of the best. We never let our guard down”, said Ioan Varga, according to prosport.ro.

With Daniel Pancu on the technical bench, CFR Cluj finished the previous season in 3rd place, with 43 points. Dan Petrescu and Andrea Mandorlini also led the team from Gruia in the recently concluded season.
