In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the court recovered 750 thousand rubles from the owner of the Ergaki ski resort. He will have to pay a resident of Abakan, who received a serious leg injury while skiing. The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk region reported this.
The incident occurred in November 2024. A 23-year-old girl came to the base to ski. During the descent, she lost control, fell and was seriously injured. After long-term treatment, the victim went to court for compensation.
The owner of the base denied responsibility. In court, he stated that he only provides services for lifting people up the slope using a rope tow, and is allegedly not responsible for further descent. A prosecutor was brought into the case. During the review, evidence was presented that the track was not equipped with the necessary safety features. There were no signs, markings or other means on the slope that would help you navigate safely while skiing.
It also turned out that the entrepreneur regularly entered into agreements with sports schools to provide ski slopes for training. The court took into account these documents and came to the conclusion that it was not only about the operation of the ski lift, but also about the provision of services for organizing skiing.
The court agreed with the arguments of the prosecutor's office and satisfied the demands of the victim. In addition, the Ermakovsky District Court continues to consider a criminal case regarding the provision by the owner of the base of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers.
