Vincenzo Italiano (48 years old) will move to Turkey. The coach, who terminated his contract with Bolognavalid for one more season, turned quickly after his negotiations with Napoli fell through. The Italian will sign with Beşiktaş until 2028, with the option to extend for an additional year.
According to the information published by the press in Istanbul and confirmed by mercato specialist Nicolo Schira, Italiano would receive a net annual salary of 5 million euros, two million more than he had at the former winner of the Italian Cup.

The former technician of Bologna will replace Sergen Yalcin. Vincenzo Italiano was awaited at the airport upon landing of the private plane sent to Italy by the club's president, Serdal Adali, who congratulated himself on the Italian's acceptance of the offer: “We're lucky. And I'm sure things are going to look really good from now on.”
And the former technician of the Super Cup finalist, who missed qualifying for a continental cup with the Rossoblu team in the 2026-2027 season, is delighted with the choice made: “I am quite moved and impressed by the reception and I can't wait to start work in Beşiktaş”.

Italiano had reached an agreement in principle with Napoli, but the dismissal of Max Allegri from Milan suddenly closed the door!
Sporting director Onder Ozen explained why the Istanbul club chose Vincenzo Italiano: “The coach we decided on is very determined to achieve something as good as he did with Bologna. We acted quickly when we found out he was free. He can make the difference and a strong team. He is ambitious and motivated.”

Vincenzo Italiano was quite close to continuing in Serie A. After Aurelio de Laurentiis resigned himself that Antonio Conte would leave, Napoli's president opened negotiations with Italiano and it was even written that they had agreed in principle on a 2+1 year contract and a salary of 3.5 million euros.
However, Massimiliano Allegri's dismissal from AC Milan turned the situation and preferences of the azzurro boss upside down, so Italiano took a back seat and Napoli quickly reached an agreement with the technician with six Scudetti, which should be officially announced in the coming days.
