Matvienko proposed measuring a person’s success by the number of children in the family

A person's success in society should be measured not by income or car brand, but by the number of children in the family. This opinion was expressed by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko at the “Gold Standard of Corporate Demography” platform within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to her, the most difficult task is to change the public outlook and return the value of a large family to people's consciousness.
“The most difficult thing is always to change your worldview. This requires a lot of effort so that family values, the traditional Russian large family, return to our consciousness and understanding that this is truly a value. And that the success of this or that person in society will be measured not by the amount of money earned, not by car brands, but by how many children this family has,” she said.
Valentina Matvienko also noted that family-centricity should not be a declaration, but a real principle that will be present in all spheres of society.
