Georgia – Romania. Marian Aioani (26 years old), Rapid's goalkeeper, committed another blunder with the national team. After the error in the friendly match with Slovakialost away, score 0-2 (March 31), the goalkeeper “contributed” fully to the 1-0 goal scored by Giorgi Kvilitaia (32 years old), in the 46th minute.
The second half had not even started well, and Georgia opened the score in the friendly match in Tbilisi, the debut of Gheorghe Hagi on the bench of the national team.
“The King” made 4 changes at halftime: Moruțan, Borza, Răzvan Marin and Coman were replaced by Dobre, Eissat, Cicâldău and Louis Munteanu.

In the first offensive action of the Georgians in the second half, Aioani made a decisive mistake.
The Georgians crossed, the Rapid goalkeeper inexplicably dropped the ball in the box, and Kvilitaia took advantage and fulfilled a formality, to the disappointment of Gheorghe Hagi.
It should be noted that Marian Aioani was appointed in the context in which Ionuț Radu, the goalkeeper number 1 of the national team, was injured and did not make the trip to Tbilisi.
It was only the third selection for Marian Aioani and the second match in the national team shirt. The speedster was a substitute in the World Cup qualifier with Turkey and had played a half in the friendly against Slovakia when he made his first error after mis-passing and the phase ended in a goal.
Aioani played 34 matches this season for Rapid, during which he scored 35 goals. He kept a clean sheet in 10 games. He is quoted by the specialized website Transfermarkt at 1.5 million euros.
Otto Hindrich (Legia Warsaw) and Ștefan Târnovanu (FCSB) are the other goalkeepers who traveled to Georgia. Aioani was replaced in the 63rd minute by Hindrich.
