The median wage in Poland as a whole increased the most in the Bieszczady poviat in the province. Podkarpackie. High earnings in municipalities and the highest increases
When it comes to communes, the highest median salary is over PLN 11,000. PLN gross in December, residents could enjoy Jerzmanowa from the province Lower Silesia (PLN 11.3 thousand gross) and Podkowa Leśna near Warsaw (median PLN 11,000 gross). The difference between the first one mentioned and the commune with the lowest wages, i.e Czajkowo from the province Greater Poland (PLN 5.3 thousand gross) is as much as 6 thousand zloty.
Over 10 thousand 12 towns out of 2,005 communes in the country can boast of median earnings. In addition to Jerzmanowa and Podkowa Leśna, the list also includes:
- from the province Masovian Voivodeship: Warsaw, Michałowice, Stare Babice, Jabłonna and Łomianki,
- from the province Lower Silesia: Lubin and Polkowice,
- from the province Opole: Branice and Kietrz and
- from the province Lesser Poland's Zielonka.
The largest increase in median earnings – by PLN 1.4 thousand. PLN within 12 months – occurred in Czarna in the province Podkarpackie (up to PLN 7.6 thousand gross). The Dębica tire company and chemical plants in Tarnów operate in this region. The lowest wages and the largest wage declines
We also looked at the list of towns with median earnings below PLN 6,000. PLN gross. There are as many as 45 such communes out of 2005. Of these, nine are from the province.
