Poles earn more and more. Record difference between the minimum and top 10 percent.


Precise salary data collected from the ZUS database and the Ministry of Finance allow the Central Statistical Office to accurately recognize the salary structure in Poland. This way we know that at least 10 percent employees in the country, but less than 20 percent receives the minimum wage every month. In December 2025, from which the data comes, this meant a gross salary of PLN 4,666. During the year, the minimum wage increased by PLN 366, or 8.5%.

20 percent threshold starts from PLN 5,197.68 gross. That's 11.4 percent. more than the minimum wage. A year earlier, in December 2024, the difference was only 6.5%, which means that an increasing percentage of working people are moving away from the minimum wage, which is positive news for the situation of employees. Wages in the second salary threshold increased by 9.4%. year on year and in this decile the percentage increase was the highest.
