The first awakened bears were spotted in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Solgonsky Ridge nature reserve in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, inspectors found the first traces of brown bears. This happened on April 16, writes Komsomolskaya Pravda – Krasnoyarsk.
According to experts, clubfoot usually wakes up in early or mid-April, so the timing is usual. Predators emerge from their dens tired and sleepy rather than aggressive – their muscles have been inactive for a long time, their energy reserves are running low. But mother bears with cubs can already be dangerous.
Awakened animals eat everything: they hunt ungulates, dig up roots and go out into agricultural fields. Experts advise avoiding bear trails.
You can scare away a bear with noise. Tourists should take whistles, rattles or other loud objects with them. Talking loudly also helps. If you are walking in a group and encounter a predator, gather tightly and remain calm – this way the animal will see the crowd and leave.
The first bear this year was spotted on March 31 in the Minusinsk District at the Kyzykul station along the railway. Then local authorities asked residents to be careful.
